I reimagined training guides for SEIU Local 721’s Member Education & Training Department. My redesign provides a modern and organized design system that prioritizes easy navigation for members.

Working closely with the department head, I determined the need for a strong typographic hierarchy and design system. As the training guides were limited to black and white, I used typography to create a texture and a clear design system that breaks the dense copy down into easily digestible sections—implementing bold copy callouts, clear headers and distinct sections throughout.

The vibrant color story for the covers uniquely separates them from one another while ensuring that they all work well with each other and the picture of Los Angeles that the client requested.
